Mission: Something Rob would use.

You’re probably wondering who Rob is and why he matters. Rob is a CFA, was my roommate in college, and likes cooking dinner for friends. He’s very specifically not the mythical conglomeration of our ideal enterprise users in one person. Rob is a very real person and along this journey we shouldn’t forget him but use Rob as the moniker and proxy for the very real friends you’d use this app to call, hangout, and shoot the shit with in your life.

Concept

There's a metaphysical debate if an empty set is the same thing as nothing. An interpretation is as a room with nothing inside it and makes the idea of the room always something. We can still be together when your space is empty, when it may not seem possible, something is there.

Right when you launch we show that beautiful 3d face of yours. From here you can select your fav people or start a group through the composer

1:1

In a 1 to 1 conversation we continually frame the person you're talking to in view if they've traveled out of frame.

1:many

In a group setting things get a little trickier. Piling people gets you a close up of everyone but breaks some spatiality. In the other explorations you maintain spatial awareness by placing everyone in a determined slot in a circle or crowd.
